Personal Trainers Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions for Personal Trainers (“Trainer Terms”) govern your use of the MYTrainer platform as a certified personal trainer. By registering as a Trainer on MYTrainer, you agree to be bound by these Trainer Terms in addition to the MYTrainer General Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.

 

  1. Eligibility and Certification

You agree and confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age;
  • You are legally allowed to offer personal training services in Malaysia;
  • You hold valid, up-to-date fitness and/or personal training certifications;
  • You shall provide MYTrainer with evidence of your certification.

MYTrainer reserves the right to verify your credentials and decline or suspend your account if certifications are found to be invalid or expired.

 

  1. Trainer Account Obligations

As a Trainer, you must:

  • Maintain accurate profile information, including but not limited to training specialties, certifications and preferred training locations;
  • Update your availability regularly to reflect your schedule;
  • Respond to session requests promptly and professionally;
  • Conduct all training sessions in a safe, professional, and respectful manner.

You are responsible for ensuring your listed training venue complies with local health and safety regulations.

 

  1. Training Session Locations and Travel

You may indicate your preferred or fixed training location(s) (currently limited to only Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya).

MYTrainer is not liable for any dispute, accident, or issue arising from travel or off-location sessions.

 

  1. Payments and Platform Commission

All payments received from Clients will be and must be processed through MYTrainer’s integrated payment system.

MYTrainer deducts a 15% fixed commission on each transaction of your earnings.

Your earnings will be reflected in your Platform wallet. You may request for a withdrawal of your earnings on or before the 30th day of each month, and payouts will be made between the 11th and 15th day of the following month, in accordance with MYTrainer’s withdrawal policy and schedule.

You shall not attempt to circumvent this payment structure.

 

  1. Prohibition of Off-Platform Transactions

You are strictly prohibited from:

  • Soliciting or accepting private arrangements with Clients introduced through the Platform;
  • Offering or promoting services outside the Platform to Clients via MYTrainer.

 

MYTrainer disclaims all responsibility and liability for any issues, losses, or disputes arising from transactions or sessions conducted outside the Platform, including but not limited to instances where you become uncontactable or fail to provide the agreed services. Breaching of this policy may result in suspension or permanent removal from the Platform.

 

  1. Cancellations and No-Shows
  • You must notify clients of any cancellation at least 12 hours in advance.
  • Frequent cancellations or late withdrawals may lead to account review or suspension.
  • In case of a Client no-show, you are entitled to full payment.
  • If a Client cancels less than 12 hours before a session, you are also entitled to full payment.

 

  1. Use of Client Data

You agree to:

  • Use Client information (e.g. names, fitness goals, bookings) only for purposes of delivering training sessions;
  • Not store, transfer, or misuse personal data for marketing, advertising, or external communications; and
  • Any unauthorized use of Client data will result in disciplinary action and may trigger legal liability.

 

  1. Trainer Independence

You understand and agree that:

  • You are an independent contractor, not an employee or agent of MYTrainer;
  • You are solely responsible for your taxes, compliance with laws and regulations, and the provision of your services.
